PULSE Key Features

PULSE has three main components:

1. Collecting

PULSE is an easy-to-use repository for user defined or IRIS impact metrics. Data is entered through a web based interface with a classic salesforce.com look and feel. Your data is secure, and data sent to the IRIS aggregator for benchmarking is anonymous and confidential.

2. Reporting

PULSE allows for reporting across different metrics. You can select specific metrics, groups of metrics, and can flag them as confidential. Reports can be saved as Reporting Groups for common reports.

3. Standardizing - IRIS

PULSE comes pre-loaded with the IRIS taxonomy. These can be customized by your organization, but IRIS standards allow for collection of data across social impact organizations for industry benchmarking and reporting. As a PULSE user, you also have access to the aggregated IRIS data.

PULSE has aided many organizations in the collection and contribution of performance data for analysis in the first IRIS data report released by the Impact Reporting and Investment Standards (IRIS) initiative of the Global Impact Investing Network. IRIS is a common language for defining, tracking, and reporting the social, environmental, and financial performance of an organization.
